About us

One place for real local things to do

OutAndAbout is a free, independent Australian guide to activities for families and seniors: markets, library sessions, parkrun, shows, workshops and community days. We bring listings from councils, libraries, venues, ticketing sites and local groups into one easy-to-read list, with the price and time up front.

How we check listings

• Every event links to its original source page, and we check the date, time, place and price against it.
• Listings are refreshed twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday). Each card shows when it was last checked, most recently 14 Oct.
• Past, cancelled, duplicate and off-topic events (like trade conferences or sales sessions) are removed.
• Events sent in by organisers are checked by a person before they appear.
• Featured and sponsored spots are always clearly labelled, and they never change what's in the main list.
